At the beginning of October, the conference entitled Kam kráčí digitální sítě 2025 (Where Digital Networks Are Heading 2025) took place in Pilsen. This is a traditional meeting where key market players meet to gain first-hand information, share experiences and discuss the future of digital networks.
The programme offered lectures focusing on the development of digital infrastructure, legislative changes and the latest trends in telecommunications, as well as panel debates with representatives of the state administration, regulators and leading companies in the field. There was also an expo section that presented technological innovations, products and practical solutions directly from the main suppliers. There was also a networking evening.
Zbyněk Bolcek, Managing Partner Advisory, spoke on behalf of Grant Thornton on the analysis of the structure of the electronic communications market. Its content was based on studies prepared for the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) for the National Recovery Plan.
“At the conference Where digital networks are heading 2025, we had the opportunity to present the results of an extensive analysis of the electronic communications market that we prepared for the MoIT. We believe that the data can help not only the public administration but also commercial entities to better navigate the dynamic digital infrastructure environment. Discussions with experts from various fields confirmed that the key to success is cooperation across sectors and openness to innovation,” said Zbyněk Bolcek.
“The electronic communications market is undergoing a fundamental transformation. Digitalisation, new spectrum and innovative technologies such as 5G and FRMCS are significantly changing the landscape for businesses and regulators,” said Bolcek. “Our aim is to offer a concrete view of the current state of the market and to help companies and government institutions navigate the rapidly changing environment.”
All 27 studies are publicly available on the MoIT website. They focus on topics such as spectrum aspects, enterprise digitisation or specific use-cases, such as FRMCS (Future Railway Mobile Communication System), PPDR (Public Protection and Disaster Relief) and 5G Broadcast.
