Support for start-ups. Gain up to CZK 4.9 million for marketing

Are you a small or medium-sized business that has had an “IČ” (tax ID) for less than 7 years and would like to develop your business further? Take advantage of the new grant call from the OP Technology and Applications for Competitiveness, which will distribute CZK 150 million among successful applicants. 

A subsidy opportunity in the area of external consulting services will open for start-ups outside Prague at the beginning of April. The call Marketing - Professional Services for Start-ups has been announced, thanks to which they will be able to receive 50% subsidy for the development and expansion of business activities, strengthening financial or managerial competences, increasing the quality and efficiency of production and services, as well as for participation in foreign accelerators. Reception of applications will start on 9 April 2025 and will be open until 30 September 2025. 

How is a start-up defined in the call? 

• Small or medium-sized company whose Czech company tax ID number is not older than 7 years as of the date of application. 
• The applicant must be an entity that has received a venture capital (VC) input, e.g. in the form of a convertible loan or direct purchase of a stake (equity deal) or a future shareholding agreement (SAFE), worth EUR 2 million or more. 

What are the eligible expenses? 

• External consulting and mentoring services 
• External professional technology services (SW development, IT solutions, cyber security, cloud services) 
• Intellectual property protection, trademarks and patents (fees, registration) 
• Participation in a foreign accelerator (registration and other expenses necessary for participation and fees associated with participation in the accelerator as determined by the event organizer) 
• Indirect costs (up to 7 % of eligible expenditure) 

For participation in a foreign accelerator, please note that the time spent in the accelerator must not exceed 6 months and the expenses for participation in the foreign accelerator must not exceed CZK 2 million excluding VAT.  

How much can you receive? 

• Level of support: 50 % 
• Minimum subsidy amount: CZK 500 ths 
• Maximum subsidy amount: CZK 4.9 mil
