Jiří Štrupl is a Manager in Grant Thornton Advisory. He specialises in large-scale infrastructure projects co-funded by the EU (Cohesion Fund, OP ENV, OPT) with the primary focus of these projects in the environment, transport and power sectors. He has several years experience with projects providing methodological support (technical and financial assistance) for government agencies, notably the State Environmental Fund and the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic. Jiří has extensive experience with the development of financial models (for funding-gap and cost-benefit analysis), feasibility studies, reviews, successful discussions with the EU project preparation team JASPERS, and has experience with drafting important tenders. He has a strong record in the use of ESRI specialised software - ArcGis, ESRI - ArcInfo, MapInfo.
Throughout his past career, Jiří gained experience in MOTT MACDONALD Praha (project leader). DHI Hydroinform (engineer, GIS specialist) or in ČHMI Praha (engineer in water quality department).
Jiří has worked in consulting services for 13 years, for 9 years he has also been involved in education of state administration employees in the field of grant financing. He holds a Master’s degree from the Czech Technical University in Prague, Civil Engineering Faculty, water engineering and water management.
