Jiří Dvořák works at Grant Thornton Advisory as a Manager and a team leader of energy advisory team. He has 10 years of experience with energy projects. He specializes on projects in the field of energy and cleantech sector relating mainly to smart technologies / solutions, which are focused on defining strategies and development of the transmission and distribution grids in the Czech Republic and CEE region and their financing from european and local funding together with innovation and R&D projects focused on electromobility, RES and energy storage solutions.
Narrowly linked to mentioned experiences Jiří has a unique know-how linked with legal and regulatory issues on one hand (Ministry of Industry and Trade) and business and technical on the other hand (ČEPS, T&H energo).
Jiří has started his career as an analyst and continued as a specialist responsible for strategy of trasmission grid development in ČEPS, further more he was in charge for funding of transmission grid from EU funds. After this relevant experience Jiří continued his career on Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic where he acted as a Deputy Director of Energy Sector Department responsible for the development and strategy of energy sector (State Energy Policy) together with European energy legislation focused on the development and financing of the grids. Jiří is currently head of the energy consulting team at Grant Thornton Advisory.
